Teena Borg - ROCK AND ROLL,SWING
Teena began dancing Rock ‘n’ Roll and Swing in 1996. Teena also spent 8 years of her childhood ballroom dancing. Teena’s highlights of her dancing career include dancing on Channel V, Rose Siedler House 50’s fair and ‘Leader of the Pack’ opening. Also enjoying many wins and placing in various competitions. Teena has been teaching for Swingtime
since 2002 and with her partner Ray were our very first recruits for Swingtime NSW. Teena currently teaches Swing at Toongabbie and Rock ‘n’ Roll at Ryde. |

Ray Borg- ROCK AND ROLL,SWING
Ray began dancing Rock ‘n’ Roll and Swing in 1996. Ray has always been a big Elvis fan and had always loved 50’s music. Ray’s highlights so far include dancing at the VIP Gala opening night of ‘Shout the JOK story’, and various corporate performances. His most nervous experience was competing in his first competition after only dancing for four months in front of over 1000 people in Qld. He then went on to win and place in many local and interstate competitions. Ray has been teaching for Swingtime since 2002. Ray currently teaches Swing at Toongabbie and Rock ‘n’ Roll at Ryde. |

Lyn Phillips - ROCK AND ROLL
Lyn started dancing Rock ‘n’ Roll in 1993. She later learnt to dance Rockabilly and Swing. Lyn with her husband Dennis took a liking to the lift work side of Rock ‘n’ Roll, and together held the National Title for Over 45’s Freestyle and Floor Work Rock ‘n’ Roll from 1998 – 2001.Lyn loves the Swing music of the 40’s, as she was brought up on this music by her father. Lyn is also a crazed Elvis Fan. Lyn has been teaching for Swingtime since 2003. Lyn currently teaches Rock ‘n’ Roll at Mittagong and Picton. |

Dennis Phillips - ROCK AND ROLL
Dennis started dancing Rock ‘n’ Roll in 1993. With his wife Lyn, later learnt to dance Rockabilly and Swing. Dennis and his wife Lyn, loved to compete in competitions as it helped them to progress their dancing.Together they won many competitions including 1997 South Pacific Masters, 1999 Platinum Wintersun and many more. Dennis loves having the chance to relive his childhood over again. Dennis has been teaching for Swingtime since 2003. Dennis currently teaches Rock ‘n’ Roll at Mittagong and Picton. |

Margie Best - ROCKABILLY
Margie began dancing Rockabilly in 1988. Margie has always had a fascination with the whole 40s and 50s lifestyle, and is an avid collector of vintage and retro items. Margie and her husband Jim enjoy sharing their love of the 50s with their students. Margie loves seeing the students making new friends, and getting overwhelmed by the 50s subculture that exists. Margie has been teaching for Swingtime since
2003. Margie currently teaches Rockabilly at Camperdown. |

Jim Collington- ROCKABILLY
Jim began dancing Rock ‘n’ Roll in 1996. Originally told by friends to learn Ballroom, Jim decided that Rock ‘n’ Roll would be easier to learn. Hooked right away with the music, Jim never looked back. After meeting and falling for Margie, Jim just had to learn to dance Margie’s love of Rockabilly. Jim also shares Margie’s love of the 50s culture and together organise live gigs and co-promote Sydney’s Swing Out with
Bruce and Sharon. Jim and Margie DJ by the names of Limpin’ Jimmy and The Swingin’ Kitten. Jim has been teaching for Swingtime since 2003. Jim currently teaches Rockabilly at Camperdown. |

Peta Parnell - SWING
Peta began dancing Rock ‘n’ Roll and Swing in 2000. Peta’s previous
dace experience includes 6 years of Jazz, Classical, Ballroom and
Latin. Peta has danced in many competitions over the years with her
greatest wins being in the Masters Games in 2001. Peta was also a
member of the Swingtime PerformanceTroupe. Peta joined Swingtime in
2004. Peta currently teaches Swing at Willoughby and Bondi Junction. |

Suzi Warren - ROCK AND ROLL
Suzi began dancing Rock ‘n’ Roll in 2001. Suzi loved it right from the start and stayed for both lessons on her first night. Suzi was brought up as a dancer, as she learnt and competed in Jazz from the age of 5 till 15. She then went into competition Aerobics for 3 years. Suzi is also a school teacher and regular puts together routines for school concerts and performances. Suzi also dances Rockabilly and Swing, and is a member of the Swingtime Performance Troupe. Suzi loves seeing people who have never danced before, learning and eventually feeling confident on the social dance floor. Suzi has been teaching for Swingtime since 2003. Suzi currently teaches Rock ‘n’ Roll at Camperdown. |

Simon Green - ROCK AND ROLL
Simon began dancing in 2001. He had previously learnt Ballroom and
Latin, however was kidnapped by our Rock ‘n’ Roll classes. Simon soon
became a regular at every class of Swingtime, and was a favourite of
all the ladies to dance with. His highlights so far have been dancing
on the Kerri Ann show, and performing at Rose Sidler House ’50’s Fair’.
Simon has been teaching for Swingtime since 2003. Simon currently
teaches Rock ‘n’ Roll at Camperdown. |

Sandy Grant - TANGO
Sandy began formal dance training in 1999. Sandy has trained in Salsa, Swing, Ballroom and her love, Argentine Tango. Travelling to Buenos Aires in 1999 and 2001, Sandy has gained experience in Tango from the original source. On her second trip in 2001, Sandy fully immersed herself in Tango, training up to 10 hours a day, 7 days a week for 7 months. This experience has made Sandy one of Sydney’s most experienced and sought after Tango teachers in Sydney. Sandy has been teaching for Swingtime since 2003. Sandy currently teaches Argentine Tango at Camperdown. |

Anna Romain – TAP
Anna has over 20 years of dance experience in Tap dance, Jazz, Funk and Hip Hop styles. She is a professional dance teacher who has taught dance both in Australia and the U.K. Anna has performed with elite tap dancers such as Brook Henderson (Dein Perry’s Steel city and Boot Men) and has won many tap dancing competitions. Certified in all Capricorn Ballet and Arts Academy examinations and obtaining her teacher’s certificate in 1996, Anna’s passion and enthusiasm for dance is reflected in fun and stimulating lessons. |

Trudi Pickering - ROCK AND ROLL, SWING/BALBOA
Trudi started dancing Nightclub Hustle with friends in 2000, as an
alternative to meeting in coffee shops. They stopped and she stayed on,
learning as many dance styles as were available, as well as performing
in a variety of troupes and assisting with teaching. 2003 saw her join
the Swingtime studio in Camperdown, and this helped to cement her love
for Lindy Hop, Balboa and all things Swing. She is a performer in the
Swingtime dance troupe, and has performed in the “Coming Home” music
video, on Mornings with Kerri-Anne and at numerous private events. Her
dance highlight so far would have to be travelling to the US for the
first time to attend Balboa Rendevous and seeing a dance floor filled
with only Balboa dancing. Trudi has been teaching classes and privates
since the beginning of 2005 in Balboa, Lindy Hop, Rock ‘n Roll, and
West Coast Swing. Trudi currently teaches Rock ‘n’ Roll and West Coast
Swing, both at SwingTime HQ. |
