It’s so sad to see the end of daylight savings it means that winter is on it’s way! Oh well lucky that we dance, what better way to keep away those winter chills.
Roxbury Dates
In case you’re a bit confused about the Roxbury dates and thought it was on this weekend let me tell you how it works. We normally have the Roxbury on the 1st and 3rd Sat on the month, as March has 5 Saturdays we have an extra weekends break. But to worry as the next one will be the 7th of April and it’s Easter Saturday so get your bunny ears ready for a big night. To confuse you even more the following Roxbury Swing night has been pushed back to the 28th April due to a private function which is booked on our usual night.
A Frankie Experience – This weekend
There is only one Frankie Manning. He is Swing Dancing! The original and the best. His aura spreads and envelops everyone as he takes you on a journey into Swing and allows you to feel the joy and essence, of this wonderful dance. Throw yourself into the experience. It's "heaven on a stick". Nobody else has that great Frankie Magic.

The Lindy Charm School for Girls is on the road again. This time we get to met all ya'll Sydney beauties. We are running two 3hr workshops on the 14th April. First class begins at 9am - 12.00pm and the second runs from 1.30 - 4.30pm. Cost is $60p/p and payable prior to the workshop.

Setting Hair – Learn to use what ever you have (hot rollers, foam rollers, curling iron & pins etc) to give yourself an easy and stylish vintage look.
Fringe care – Tips and tricks for styling your fringe perfectly.
*Finger-waving / Marcel waving - Be given the basic principals to begin practising this iconic look (This module of the class will be dependant on time and interest expressed by the majority of the class)
Make Up
Core tips, tricks and basic application techniques.
Begin with a vintage inspired base to build upon. Learn about styles, colours and applications from the 1930's through to the late 1950's
Fashion & Textiles
Learn to distinguish different decades by learning about fabrics, patterns & designs. What is and what isn't vintage... Advice on cuts and styles to suit you, so you can begin to create your unique vintage wardrobe.

Wintersun Festival June 2007
One of our favourite weekends, and of course we will be going again this year. If you are planning on attending plan to be there over the long weekend. Lots of Rock ‘n Roll, Rockabilly and Swing to keep you dancing most of your waking hours!
Wintersun 2007 starts on Friday 1st June and ends with the huge Best of Wintersun Concert on Monday 11th June. Wintersun is Australia's leading annual Retro Nostalgia Festival. Featuring over 1000 Hot Rods, Custom and Classic Cars, more than 100 bands and performers, dancing, movies, street parade and competitions.
The festival is held in the border coastal towns of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads on the New South Wales & Queensland border. Many events are free, some are in the streets while others are in the local clubs and shopping centres.
