We are pleased to report that Sylvia and Marty have both made it to Sydney in tip top condition and ready and rearing to go for the Balboa workshop this weekend. If you haven’t booked your spot then it’s not too late to register, see details below. On Saturday night we will be having a Swing/Balboa social dance, you don’t have to attending the workshop to join us, everyone is welcome. Russell, Trish, Derek, Bruce and I (Sharon) will join forces in the DJ booth offering non stop dance music from 8 to 12 (or perhaps a bit later lets see how we feel). It’s going to be a huge weekend for Balboa in Sydney this weekend and we can’t wait!

We are so excited to be able to bring this fabulous duo to Sydney. It’s an awesome chance to learn from the worlds best and we are sure that you’ll be as excited about this weekend as us. We are committed to growing the Balboa scene in Sydney therefore we will be offering a Beginner level on Saturday. This is the perfect opportunity to have a taste of this wonderful, exciting and not to mention addictive dance. On Sunday we will move things up a notch as we take Balboa to an intermediate level to really give the Balboa dancers the push that they have been waiting for.

Saturday 24th Beginners Level
If your new to Balboa or you would like to give your basics a real polish up then this is the class for you. It’s a great chance to lay down the fundamentals of this dance.
10am – 12.30pm Morning session
1.30 – 4pm Afternoon session
Sunday 25th Intermediate Level
Ok so your basics are solid and you want to be pushed up another rung on the Balboa ladder then this is the class for you.

Beginners Refresher Rockabilly Dance Workshop

In response to numerous requests, we now hold a Beginners Refresher Rockabilly Dance Workshop just prior to the Intermediate Workshop. You can do this independently of the Intermediate Workshop or you can do this as a warm-up and confidence booster before you join the Intermediate group later in the afternoon.

Intermediate Rockabilly Dance Workshop - Sunday 25th February at 3pm
The workshop will be a 2 hour session which is designed to improve your dancing as well as learning new dance moves. And of course have fun. Remember, if you are more comfortable dancing with your own partner, you are welcome to come as a couple and stay together or come by yourself and join the rotating circle, where you will get a chance to practice with a number of different partners. Are there any ladies out there who are interested in improving their leading and learning some new moves? Here is your chance. This workshop is for dancers who have at least satisfactorily completed our Beginners Workshop or experienced dancers who would like to improve their style or learn more moves and we would not be able to accomodate inexperienced dancers.
